HELP what is it ????

Thank you all for your very kind and helpful comments, [ although Model engineering don't seem interested in it ] The plant will soon be listed on Ebay etc as my one good hand is letting me down a bit now. Many people have seen it in our driveway and taken photos etc ,but it just needs a little more work to complete the model. Now taken up collecting antique steam engines such as Stuart turner etc that I can handle . so poss part exchanges,[ just bought a stuart 6a and had to pay the postman to help me to get it on my work bench ] so nothing much larger than that one.

PS Can anyone please tell me what sort of air compressor I will need to run my 6 large stuart turner engines on air, something with enough oopf but not to heavy,to run twin Victoria etc engines
