Hi, I’ve been involved in engineering since doing a apprenticeship in it. I started off as an apprentice distillery engineer in Scotland. When I moved back to England I’ve had several engineering jobs, in automation and engine test. Both building and installing engine test equipment and production equipment.
Having now retired l have bought myself a bench top lathe and added it to my small workshop. I’m particularly interested in building miniature working steam engines. With the goal of eventually building a radio controlled steam launch, and building a V twin cylinder plant to put in it

Be prepared for many questions as I’m a live steam virgin and know nothing.

Hi welcome to the forum. I had a grounding in engineering and toolmaking and had play with making a steam engine and it has developed a little but have a look on here as it gives you a grounding on working with steam including making a boiler if you wish.
