Genmitsu Router 3018-Pro

Hi All,

I bought a Sain Smart Genmitsu Router 3018-Pro cnc machine to play with and although it's a great machine for learning to use g-code…it's not that rigid. Hence not really up to the job of machining the words in the smokebox door of my miniature traction engine.

So, I bought some Ferris Gold wax. Should be easy to machine and cast a door. Does anybody have any experience around tools, rpm and feed rates?

Any ideas on parameters would be great, thanks, Nigel

Thought I would share the build of the new spindle for this budget cnc engraver. This simple belt driven ER11 chuck on a plain spindle would make a great tool post grinder/drill/mill.

This is a major improvement to the Genmitsu CNC, just not sure I'm going to be able to engrave the smokebox door of the traction engine with it though.
