empty drill case

good afternoon all

does anyone know where I can get a empty imperial drill case that will take 31 drills from 1/64" to 1/2" I have spent all afternoon searching

Clarke do a complete, set but I can get drill free and as many as I want so only need the case

hope someone can help getting fed up with them all in a box and trying to find the right one.

Amazing what you find with a simple search for "empty drill box" Try this one not seen a box that starts with 1/64th usually 1/16" thro to 1/2" in 64ths

Sometimes it is cheaper to buy a full box and treat the contents as DIY drills and put your good ones in the box

Why not get a block of wood. Drill holes for each drill and use this to store them. So simple.

Jason £ 16-76 don't know if vat added but eBay got one at 15-00 free postage at moment full so as you say might be better getting that and using the drills for DIY and restock with tin coated one we use at work

Here is my drill box. Starts at 40 thou and progresses (in increasing size) from no.60 to no.1, then in 1/64ths (from1/16 to 1/2&quot at one end and 26 letter drills at the other end.

A few missing, currently, but the whole lot only cost me about £20 when I bought them (admittedly, about ten years ago). Good value from Canadian Tire.

I have a set that looks like that ( but it has all the drills in it . ) If IRC I believe it was about £35 from RDG Tools at the MMEE show last year.

I wrote 'about £20' but it may well have been less than $30Ca back when the exchange rate was around 2:1 in our favour. Def much cheaper in Ca, than the UK, where I bought several items in $Ca when they would have been the same, or more, numerically in GBP – if even vailable in the UK.

Canadian Tire and

Lee Valley were always the favourites of several outlets. Likely go back again next year – before we get too old to travel that far. SiL usually brings something over each year (probably as a peace offering to me!).

Lots of those sets from lots of different importers at different prices and quality standards.

Every metric fan should have an imperial/number one as a cheap way of drilling odd holes.

Its very handy to have someone in the US that travels back & forth to the UK frequently. I have a lot of items bought in USA and brought over in luggage. ie 123, blocks, parrallels. DTI's, DRO's etc etc. Saves a lot of money compared to the UK. The wife is going over to Houston in the new year so I am already making a list.  regards.

Gary have a look at this on ebay I much prefer this design of stand than a box and have imperial as this one plus number and letter drills.

I drilled a wooden block for my imperial drills, It does the job very well but takes up a lot more space than a case. I have three cases of metric drills and countersinks on less shelf space than my wooden block.
