I been looking at the frame drawing in of the BR Mogul  in ME4750.

As far as I can see it is, in the main, fully defined but I think there are a couple of bits that not fully defined.

One is very minor (I think). It concerns the line in front of the leading axle box cut out. However, by reference to the other cutouts I think a reasonable estimate can be made

The other concerns the dip in the upper edge of the frame between the middle and trailing axle. Neither its position or its width is given. The position can probably be taken to be centralised between the axles. However without the width or the start point of one of the curves that section is not fully defined. I can make a estimate by measuring from the drawing and given that the feature looks to be cosmetic, is this acceptable?

Welcome to the world of ME drawings. At least a missing dimension is better than a wrong dimension

Doug Hewsons drawings are some of the best available, if you contact him I am sure he can provide the dimensions you want.

            Thanks for your replies.

I agree his drawing do look very good. I am sure that if they were critical  he would have included the dimensions.

Dear Chris,  I have only just joined the Forums but I would like to sort out any problems on the frames before it is too late.  Could you E Mail me on [email protected] so I can sort this out.

              Many thanks,

              Doug H
