complete engineers workshop

Hello , firstly please excuse my total ignorance on how to use forums , my brother passed recently and I have been asked to sell all of his workshop equipment , Myford super 7 , Warco mill both with speed controllers , numerous tools , I do not know what they are but all were used to build a Traction Engine .Sale is complicated by my being in N Ireland and his home in Co Kildare ROI , I intend to photograph all of the equipment and try my best to catalogue . would welcome any advise on best way to sell and how much I should expect from the sale.

Sorry to hear of your loss, I have had to clear a workshop and we used Lathes.co.uk , Tony Griffiths who runs the site is very knowlegeable and helpful. In this case there were a number of specialist clockmaking machines and tools, out of my sphere of knowledge. We sent a number of decent photo's and he catalogued and valued them and wrote the adverts. There is a one off charge for major items and reduced charges for smaller items, it all sold quickly and with no fuss or time wasters. You do need to telephone him to tell him the pictures are on their way as he does miss emails sometimes.

We had previously tried ebay which was a disaster , full of time waters and scammers, some of our adverts were copied and relisted before the end of the auction!
