      Thanks

Yes Fuerda. I asked Warco of the ones they had advertised are same.

      They confirmed.

They have square corners on the inside though. I may have to cut/mill them.

I think pretty much all plain ones have square inner corners.

In general the makers will envisage them having a recess for the work cut in the outboard face.

There are plenty of designs around for ‘auxiliary jaws’ and similar to screw on in order to hold smaller parts..

..or you could just use a split bush..

Hi. I bought them intending to make recesses in the outer face – to allow me to hold larger diameter work. I think the max is approx 40mm in normal jaws. I have a job to do at 100mm dia. I was gutted to find that the jaws are not reversible.

I’ve seen some great ideas on here for screw-in options (auxiliary jaws). so will also give that a try when I get some hex bar – will be good for holding v-small diameter. It’s so an expensive hex bar though. If anyone has any scrap they dont need – give me a shout plz.

Split bush – yep I will make for piecework. I also bought a hex Collet Chuck a while ago.

          All have their limitations.

          cheers
