checker plate again

hi all

as suggested in previous thread have machined my own , diamond pattern not to happy with will try to machine with the diamond raised the other design iam happy with

what do you think ?

Second one looks OK.

Hope you CNC'd it and didn't do that by hand…

Of the two the second one looks better but as it is for a steam engine may look a bit too much like modern 5 bar "checker plate"

The problem with trying to mill true diamond pattern in such small scales is the diameter of the tool leaves too big a radius in teh corners.

You could try single bar plate as that is a bit more traditional and seen on things like grating covers and steel stair treads

hi

impressed with myself got pics from camera to my album without my boys help ( dad shown you how to do this its easy) not for me

taken tractor mans photo and done my take on it machined on the cnc over 3 hours of machining gave up in the end and stopped machining dinner ready

what do you think

still cant get text in the right place
