One of AVG’s latest updates killed my E mails, on Thunderbird, incoming and outgoing.

It took my computer guru 45 minutes to find it, and about 10 seconds to fix it, by disabling the E mail shield

Use a decent VPN like NordVPN – it encrypts your outgoing and incoming traffic, ensuring no interference from bad actors.

Not relevant, howardb, as AVG is an antivirus application.

I have found AVG occasionally interferes with Thunderbird (email app). If I remember rightly, briefly stopping AVG cured it.
