Thanks Mike and Howard, it wont be pressed into service until i go pick it up with newly machined adaptor plate.
It also wont be taking heavy cuts, when i got the ML4 i went gently does it until it rattled around then i knew i had reached what i was comfortable with, the ML4 will take upto 40 thou roughing cuts, but i tend to feed around 10thou a time on the dial (20thou off dia).
Ill treat the mill much the same, ramp it up from a couple of thou till i feel vibrations then wind it back. Im not doing it for industry just for a hobby so ill happily take my time.
Id like to have a larger lathe, and a knee mill, but space constraints and costs are all limiting me to a much smaller setup.
Still looking forward to making some tooling to go with the setup
