I have never come across this type of Clarkson Autolock Chuck collet so wonder if anyone can throw any light on it ?

Instead if the usual thread for the cutter it is blanked off with a centre so it will close using the nut and inside it has a slot at the top for say a drive key on a cutter — never seen these either ?

      Thanks of any information     John

PS the odd one is on the left !

It looks like a removeable plug so may be a user’s modification, perhaps to allow holding non-threaded cutters at constant depth.

The slot could be for some sort of cutter of which the likes are a puzzle… or might simply be a screwdriver slot!
