The local news in Wales mentions two men dead from a helicopter crash at Trawsfynyyd, North Wales. They are named as Ketan Swali and Sheetal Swali. Sadly, these match the directors of Arc Euro Trade, which was wound up in March this year. So sad that Ketan, always a helpful man, had so little of his retirement, and the other man, perhaps his brother too. My condolences to both their families.

A bit early to be certain but most news reports have it as a light aircraft not a helicopter. Sheetal was/is Ketan’s wife.

He had taken up flying in his retirement and got his PPL over a year ago

The ages are correct, and one source gave a correct middle name for Sheetal.

I’m hoping it isn’t them, but I fear it must be. It seems the plane took off from tatenhill, less than five miles from where I used to live.

I’ve had so much help and support from Ketan over the years.

I have fond memories Ketan and John stevenson at the Midland making a unique pattern for another friend who is also departed. Ketan was a very kind and helpful man with whom I struck up a friendship – this is tragic news. I hope it is not true but I fear the worst. May the Good Lord rest their souls. Noel.

Yes, Russell, I mixed it up with another accident. Too much scrolling. Sad that Sheetan was his wife, as RusselB has said, just tragic.

I’m still coming to terms with it. I knew Ketan well before getting involved with MEW, but got to know him much better. He and John Stevenson helped me find my feet.

It’s terribly sad for their family, especially their daughter.

I dealt with him personally as a guinea pig for shipping parcels to european destinations developing the delivery duty paid system.

Lovely guy to deal with – so sad he’s gone like this.
