Just had delivery of a cheap HSS 1/4-20 UNC tap and die set (with a die holder) from Amazon.

Package was flagged as a Bladed item and the courier wanted age verification ID before handing it over.

It appears to be the only set on Amazon's site so flagged – guess someone ticked the wrong box. The courier found it strange – she said she delivers Chainsaws without needing verification!

One cannot be too careful these days!

I once cut my finger with a sheet of drawing paper, with an edge like a knife.

Maybe the cardboard box was the danger ?cheeky

Maybe the supplier needs actual verification of delivery – as many couriers just dump things and leave – and this is the most water-tight means of achieving delivery in person? A good idea, but should not be necessary if courier drivers were made to operate correctly.

I bought a cheap set of metric taps & dies once that was so safe there was absolutely no danger whatever of cutting a thread with them…disgust

Must be the day for it.

I have just been delivered a pair of size 5 BEYOU black plimsol/slippers by Hermes.

                Not mine.

No supplier note inside, just a long 'ebay' number and my address !

Taps and Dies are cutting tools,so they MUST be dangerous!

                    In someone's mind!

                    Howard.
