Yep, Lancia, typical Italian rubbish.

That middle one only has 2 side windows, I thought maxis had 3

It looks continental to me, not a maxi, it looks too small to be a maxi

The middle car is not an Austin Maxi Hi-Line 1750. I don't know what it is, but after having had two Maxis, that ain't one of them. For a start, the Maxis were 5 door – the one in the photo is 3 doors.

The middle car is a Fiat 850, much smaller than a Maxi. The mystery car is much too big for a Fulvia, but is something along the lines of a Lamborghini 400GT – italian coachbuilt around 1964

BTW, the Herald is a standard 12/50 – 13/60 came later with a different grille

I don't think the fourth car has enough detail – it might be a Lanicia Flaminia. The interesting thing on the mystery car is that it has alloy wheels, so although the styling is 1964/6, it must be a little later. It looks like Pininfarina to me, and possibly a variation on a Ferrari Superfast, if not a Lamboghinin 400GT. The porthole feature is unusual.

Headlights steer me towards Lamborghini, but there does not seem to be a match for the rest of the car.

You used to be able to but accessory vents like those in the rear quarter, but I can only remember them in sets of 6 all the same size. You could buy them from accessory shops and even from catalogues like Kays, John Noble etc etc but they usually ended up in the front wings of Consul 375s or early Zodiacs.

Still puzzled because something is soooh! familiar, but I just can't put my finger on it.

Tried to blow up the image to see what the logo on the wheel is but no joy there.

I passed my test in my father's Herald in 67, three point turn was very easy with that amount of lock, great little engine but crap handling and the chassis rusted away in seven years.
