I've jute received by post a new Kirjeng Model Engineering Services catalogue (no, 34), rather to my surprise as I have not been an especially frequent customer. (Good tools used for model-engineering don't wear out beyond feasible servicing, break or feed the workshop gremlins, rapidly enough!)
. With it is a letter from its proprietors, Terry & Sylvia Holt, explaining their decision to retire after 37 years of trading, and transfer the stock & goodwill to 101 Tooling.
Accompanying this is a letter from 101 Tooling's owner, Martin Howdle. "101" reflect his trade speciality in parts and tools for this rare breed of Landrover, but the letters explain he and his father have considerable, broader, preservation-engineering experience.
Terry Holt intends continuing for the time being as an engineering consultant, he tells us. He also informs us the business name is a portmanteau of their daughters' names.
Good to see this continuity, and I wish both parties All The Very Best for their respective futures.
