so in need some help with this please.

my auto feed dose not work so i was going to rig up a motor to the lead screw (the lead screw turns 3 full times to travel 10mm) and the main spindle spins at 380 rpm i didn't know if there is any sort of maths i can do to work out how fast the new lead screw motor needs to spin to cut a thread. Something like a 10mm bar with a 1.5mm pich thread cut into it.

      thanks

Is this your Drummond? If so check the pitch of your leadscrew as that is a very unusual pitch, it is more likely to be moving 9.53mm in three turns eg 8tpi leadscrew.

You will need some way to syncronise the feed motor with the spindle as if the lateh slows during the cut you will need the motor to do so too.

There are several long threads here, have a search for "electronic leadscrew" Try this one for starters
