Hello all

Is there a problem with the multi metal store that advertises on here.

Anyone ordered recently?

Asking as I have not had any response from them.

My order was despatched on 08 December, and there is no sign of it yet.

Tracking details say awaiting collection. I have tried their online message system, no response. No response to direct emails either, and the phone number has message saying This number is not currently in use.

Its not a large order but every penny counts these days!

Jonathan. I haven't used them but I guess it will turn up. I just received a parcel from Norfolk to Bedfordshire and it took 2 weeks. If you do have a problem I would recommend Macc Models and M-Machine for stuff. I have used them a lot and always had a first class service. I once went to Milton Keynes Metals to get some supplies as they advertse on here but I had to walk away. I have never seen such a dysfunctional business before.

I cannot believe MK metals is still going, I had the same experience as Buffer.

M-machine every time, never had a problem. I have been waiting since the 8th for some 7075 from GWR Fasteners, but i suspect that's royal mail's fault, not GWR's.

I've found GWR to be a good supplier for fasteners etc, always decent prices and rapid despatch.

While we are talking rapid despatch……………. yesterday I ordered two sprockets online from Bearing Boys at around three in the afternoon, had despatch confirmed at three forty five, this morning Rod my Royal Mail postman handed me the two sprockets at eleven thirty.

I couldn't believe it, neither could Rod because he said the backlog at the local sorting office is piled high, also had delivery by Parcel Force containing my steel order from Noggin End, at least I have plenty to do over the festive period.

Just to let you know my order arrived late evening yesterday (Wednesday).

Still no contact from supplier which worries me, so not using them again.

And my 7075 round bar from GWR arrived today. i always use GWR if i'm buying small quantities of fasteners online (typically via evilbay), their service is always very fast and very competitivly priced.
