      HI all,

I'm trying to find a laser or water-jet cutting service that holds stock of (2mm) spring and also (5 or 6mm) tool steels, or at least something higher yield than s355 which is the limit of what most seem to stock. Ideally, I don't want to have to buy a sheet of material to free issue.

      Thanks in advance,

      Matt

Where are you based as it is difficult to suggest a cutting service without rough area.

What size are the parts? You can get gauge plate upto 300mm wide 1 to 50mm thick which could well be cheaper than buying a 2 x 1m sheet. Subject to the minimum size they can place on the machine.

Most cutters will post small parts or use couriers if larger so location is unlikely to be an issue.

Thanks for the business suggestions. Gauge plate would certainly do it, I'll compare prices.

                  Cheers

Laser cut gauge plate will have rock hard edges due to heat affected zone, I'd stick to water jet or wire eroded
