new here , can anyone point me to a place where i can get a job lot small lengths of various sized, grade stell ,brass ect to get me going for most requirements .i can ask about specific grades as and when , i do general repairs and making small parts for my own machinery here in france. thanks ajl

Welcome to the forum. I don't know if you have read this thread?

Since I don't live in France I can't give you any advice about French suppliers, I guess others will come along offering advice. I get some of the metals I need from UK suppliers, here are few links that may be of help:
