Good idea – but where exactly are the free plans? When I did a search for Rod Bending Tool – the MEW search engine produced no results.

Will it handle 10mm rod? You may be able to beef up this design to meet requirements, which will include a 3ft length of scaffold pole.

In the US there are vendors of Chinese tools that sell a scaled down version of the Hossfeld bender. They sell for under $100. Here is the link.

I assume similar benders are for sale in the UK.

What you are capable of doing on this type of bender is limited by the accessories you are willing to make and by your own imagination.
