Hi All,

Hidden in the bottom of a box of mediocre bits and bobs was this little gem:

Beautifully made with makers marks of BAYLISS at both ends, much nicer than the more common plated brass roundlet tool sets. I can only find vague references to BAYLISS in the bicycle world but nothing else. The little pointer has me stumped, looks like a clock hand. The screwdriver bit is detachable so maybe there were more tips at some point?

Any thoughts most welcome!

To me it looks as though could perform two functions the first as a gimlet to put a hole into something. This would be done with the screwdriver bit fully in the handle. The second as a nice “T” shaped screwdriver when the end cap is screwed down to hold the shaft with the screwdriver tip firm.

The "collapsed" view shows the screwdriver extended it actually goes right inside hen pushed home leaving the other half of the handle empty, bit storage perhaps?
