not sure from video but is it wobbling on the shaft ? as opposed to just having a bit of back lash?
I think there’s a clearance between the rack and pinion..is it possible to fix it? Maybe with a new pinion
Hi Michele, Welcome to the forum.
As an ML7 owner myself, I'm sure Graham has identified your problem. Are you into model making?
Regards Bear..
Hi Michele,
I had a problem with worn ML7 apron bushes and bought a replacement set from here.

Thank you so much guys, i’ve just bought a replacement set of apron bushes..hope it works..Grizzly, no i’m not really in model making, i’m into pipemaking
Pipes, would they be Pan Pipes or Smoking Pipes? Bears can be a bit nosey.
Uilleann pipes, the irish bagpipes. Have you ever seen them?
Regards Michele
Irish pipes ~?
Are they similar to Guiness bottles that have open other end on the base but in this case it's blow from tother end ?
Uilleann pipes, Interesting. Had a look on Youtube. This bear is not musical.
What will the main material be, just wondering if a wood turning lathe would have been a better option.
The main material will be ebony. i bought a metal lathe so i can turn out reamers an the whole metal parts
