What RPM should I run a Twin Victoria ?

Just completed a Stuart Twin Victoria and am running it off a small airbrush compressor, I have fitted a regulator to the compressor and the engine will run as low as 50 RPM up to hundreds of RPM. What would be the correct speed if running to scale ie what would these engines have run at at full scale in a factory ?. David

I would not go above your 50rpm less if you can get it to run smoothly they ran quite slowly.

 

Watch a few Videos on teh net of working engines, like this one, (couple of adverts to watch first) and it will give you an idea of correct speed.
