Hi
I've found myself in the unfortunate poston of selling some of my fathers workshop to fund a care home as of next week. It's all happened rather suddenly so I'm seeking some advice please.
In 1995 he purchase a brand new Myford Super 7B lathe. From the original invoice it's 19", single phase, hardened bed including a fixed steady, travelling steasy, 9" faceplate, 4 post turret and a 6" 4 jaw check. This all sits on a myford stand and is in as new condition.
This lathe is totally unused having being stored in a temperature controlled workshop, it's never even had a plug fitted!.
Another major item is a VM-B single phase milling machine with a 1/2" chuck, pozilock chuck and a set of collects. Mounted to a stand, as new condition.
Again, it's totally unused, never had a plug fitted.
I'm having to sell these items and I'm wanting advice as to their genuine worth. I was guessing £5k for the lathe and £2k for the milling machine, though I want to ensure best price towards my fathers care.
Apologies in advance if asking for this advice in here is not the done thing.
Below is a link to a couple of photos.
