I just called in my friendly steel stockholders today to restock my mild steel and after i had loaded it all in my car was shocked that since the last time perhaps 2 years ago the price had increased from 1000£ Tonne to 2400£ Tonne
this batch was £360

Just checked one of my bits was 71 plus vat
at aluminium warehouse who i do use a lot for alloy their price for the same length in 40mm in BDMS is £184 plus vat
so my stockholder is still cheap
