Need advice on sealing ceramic insulation blanket in a Vevor metal melt furnace, I can’t find a spray sealer or fire cement the same temperature rating  as the temperature rating, 1482°C, of the furnace. The ready available products are quoted as up to 1400°C. What have others, if any, done.

        Don’t worry about it.
        It’s a rounding error.  1482 C is 2700 F  Vevor have done a literal conversion.
The cement is’t going to fail at 1401 degrees.
You will he hard  pressed to control a furnace to that level anyway.

        Robert.

Just as Robert has said – don’t worry about it. What are you melting ? Not iron I hope. K23 kiln bricks are better for the job and far more resilient. Good luck. Noel.
