I was just given a 1983 Rexon RDM 350M 3/4hp, 110v mill/drill but it did not come with an owners manual. Does anyone have a copy of the owners manual they would be willing to scan and send me?Any information on this mill/drill would be appreciated as I have no clue how to use a mill.

        Thanks

Hi Chris, I bought a Rexon RDM 400M, 230V 1hp mill/ drilling 1995 and it had no manual when it came from the shop, and I knew about as much as you do, don’t know a hell of a lot more now, its done quite a bit of work, but nothing too fancy.
I was lead to believe that it was made in Taiwan, as was most of the machinery coming into New Zealand at the time. Its mostly from China now days, but back then the Chinese stuff was worse than rubbish, also the govt here is trying to get a free trade deal with China. Ian S C

Do you happen to know what tool holders will fit in the head. I think what I need to know is it’s taper. I see tool holders for sale that are sold for R8 , Morris taper ect. and I don’t know what to buy. Can this be measured? I need to buy a drill chuck and a holder to hold end mill bits.

Since I have received this tool I have been searching the internet for information on this machine and the only results I can find come from New Zealand or Australia. It’s made me curious how this one got to the US.

              Thank you

Chris, my machine has a no., 3 Morse taper. I have a 50 mm face cutter, with three carbide tips. a collet chuck for end mills, and a Jacobs pattern drill chuck that will hold 5/8″. I’v got a clamping kit, and a tilting vice(came with the mill). Later I got a 6″ Vertex rotary table, with indexing attachment, and tail stock center. I have also fitted a rather crude power feed to the table, powered by a windscreen wiper motor. Ian S C
