            Welcome Jason,

There are plenty here who an help you with anything you need to know. I own one too and am in the (slow!) process of 100% restoring it, screw by screw and bolt by bolt. Lovely machines the are, really well made.

Look forward to your pictures. My coincidence, you wouldn't be the new member of the Drummond lathe yahoo group asking for advise today / yesterday? Very useful place, if a little hard to navigate the messages.

            Regards, Ralph

Hi ralph. Yes it was me on the yahoo group . Your right about it being hard to navigate, although trying to find people out there who know about my lathe are few and far between. I will get some photos posted on here tomorrow when I get back from work. Thanks jay

Thirty years ago I acquired a Drummond 4" 'A-type' round bed lathe. I corresponded with Professor Chaddock, who seemed to be the 'Model Engineer' expert at the time.

I didn't use it much and sold it after a year or so.

I have a photocopy of the little handbook, a booklet of special attachments and a Drummond booklet on lathework dated 1938.

Do you want them for the price of postage?

If so. pm me (this is an expression I read on forums but I don't know how it works so I will wait to see what happens, if anything).
