Hi There

This looks quite a good idea.

Any chance of a high resolution photo for scribe a line?

Rather than clamp onto the table, you could extend the top bar and clamp into a tee slot.

You could also put a threaded rod down the bottom making it fully adjustable.

these should be better ( they are centered for one thing

 

showing the brass insert to protect the bed and the gap for the rule.
