Hi

I've inherited a 2 1/2" gauge DYAK loco a few years ago and finally decided something needs to be done to it and to have it running.

I have visited my local society and they have been tremendously helpful and welcoming.

I am finding I have more spare time now so this looks like an interest I wish to grow.

Anyway, I'll be posting questions (some probably 99% stupid) soon.

Lucky you decided to live in an area where the club actually has a 2 1/2 track and quite a nice location in the summer. Just look out for a 5in loco speeding up behind you and trying to overtake.
Best to start with a boiler test to see if it will need replacing. That will be the decider whether to continue or retire it a display model.
