          A very interesting article though it does reveal how little we really understand what's going on under our feet. Recently I saw an article about the north magnetic pole that for a long time had been relatively stable under northern Canada suddenly upping sticks and rapidly migrating to the west.

              I remember seeing moving footage by a journalist who walked to safety through a literal hell of hot ash. He was convinced he wouldn't make it but kept going.

              I can't find the footage.

                The one I remember was some final pictures from someone who didn't make it as the ash flow approached at speed

                    David Johnston Lost his life in the pyroplastic gas flow his recording obviously survived.
