I can't think of a screw on a Drummond that takes the slack out of the toolpost as originally designed so it could be a later addition. However if of the era it would be 1/8 Whitworth or 4 BA

its the screws that are attatched to the left hand side of the tool post, in the first picture, there is a strip of metal inside the the toolpost that is tightened down with the screws, and makes the horizontal movement of the tool post stiffer. if you think its whitworth, ill order some bolts around that size.

It's teh gib strip, it is, as you say, used to adjust the fit so it moves freely, but without play.

Check you terminology. It looks like you may be referring to the cross slide gib strip adjusting screws. First check that the one you have does actually fit in case the holes have been retapped. Then measure the diameter with the vernier calliper you are going to have to get one day so it might as well be now, Then measure the thread tpi by counting over as many threads as possible. You can look up possible threads on the internet. There are many sites giving the details.

Probably 2BA but check as Bazyle says. Most of the larger bolts and nuts will be either Whitworth (BSW) if they are coarse, or British Standard Fine (BSF) for the finer threads. There won't be any metric or UNF or UNC unless some bodger has added them in lather years, which it does not look like from the pics.
