Mills with tilting heads..?

Friend of mine who has several Bridgeports reckons they can machine any angle apart from a right angle. When setting up, set it ever so slightly off square to the x axis, then you don't get trail marks when feeding in one direction. When I say ever so slightly I mean just that,

Having considered a number of machines I have settled on the Sieg SX3 from ARC which will be later next year. Looking at price, specification and features it fits the bill for me, fortunately on ARC,s website they show a dismantling guide which covers every part of the machine in pictures. Looking at the head swivel mount it looks to be well engineered and robust, 0 and 90 degree positions are indexed with a good size dowel pin which locates into bushed holes though I would probably tram to be sure. I cant see me using the swivel that much if at all but its there if needed.

A big consideration was the machine size my workshop is quite small and the SX3 is much bigger than my small SX2P mill. It will mean changing things around and some beefing up on a couple of bench areas. The lathe will have to go to the opposite end of the shop and the mill should fit across the corner of a L shaped bench.
