I am deeply shocked upon learning of the death of Malcolm Stride. He will be greatly missed – the Model Engineering fraternity is lessened by his passing.

I too was shocked to hear the news, as I had only recently (within the last few months) corresponded with Malcolm regarding his Lynx engine and purchased a set of drawings from him. For some reason, IC engines seem rather neglected in the pages of ME from a build article point of view and Malcolms’ IC topics under the name of “Nemett” were, for me at least, a welcome change from locomotives etc. As Brian says, Malcolm will indeed be greatly missed.

Hi There

I am trying to publish I/C Topics in ME.

Two prospective writers have come forward to do the column but I am still waiting for their first articles.

I would like to run I/C Topics in each issue eventually even if there is more than one writer.
