Lincoln Steam & Vintage Rally Demise

Sadly, I have just seen on the local BBC News site that the Lincoln show has been permanently cancelled due to rising costs and falling attendances. It’s a shame that having been revived after Covid it has been overtaken by current circumstances, although it was noticeably smaller in the last two years. I am saddened that yet another event has gone for good

It has been our last rally of the summer before clearing off on hols.

There’s not much else available that weekend either unless we travel a very long way…

Ah well, Happy memories ! Acting as steersman on an Avling and Porter Convertible with trailer and living van back to base 15 miles from the show on a bank holiday Sunday evening – Oh what Fun ! Noel.
