Surely the opportunity already exists for anyone to write up an article on a repair job of any kind ? Just submit with the relevant title.

Good idea Neil. How about a "what did you do with CNC today" thread? It would be a good way perhaps to spread the word that it isn't just about repetition work or just "pressing a button and standing back".

… start a separate thread for more positive discussion about what people would like to see (and to encourage more & varied short articles – if I don't get more 1 & 2 pagers I'll have to kick Stub Mandrel and tell him to get busy)

          .

Jason … I think you were perhaps a little "convenient" in your selective quotation from Neil's post.

Making/repairing a part is an excellent idea, I'll start a separate thread though as any ideas will get lost here.

I thought the suggestion was for a page or two in MEW not a new thread which is really covered in the work in progress & completed items section.

Agree this threda has run its course

Misunderstanding – I mean a new thread to discuss possible new content ideas for MEW. I'm keen for it to follow what people are interested in, and there's space to experiment with short articles.

Well as people seem more interested in new ideas for MEW, I'll close this thread and start the new one.

Might be worth looking back in this forum to previous threads that have discussed MEW content – I'm sure not all the topics have been covered.

Hi Neil, I think your plan sounds good.

                Regards Nick.
