Hi, New profile but not new

Hi All,

I’m not new to the site, been here for many years.

I had trouble accessing my old profile so gave up and started again

The new profile name is my current wife’s most affectionate term to describe me, charming!!!

Anyway I have a question.

I am restoring a very old stuart 7a which I have had for some time.

The port face is in a bad state and I intend to build up the face and machine it back to the correct distance from the centre line of the cylinder.

I have an idea what this dimension is, (13/16″ to 7/8″), but if anybody has copies of the stuart drawings and could confirm for me I would be most grateful.

I intend to add reversing gear at some time and will buy the drawings for that from stuart turner.

I’m sure you should be able to get assistance with your old account if you can remember your old user name; or maybe even the exact details of one of your old posts, so someone can search for it and come up with the associated user name.
