Help with Hobbymat Md65 lathe

Hi all

Newbie question.

I have a md65 lathe, but the motor is not that good anymore.

I would like to put in a new one, but which one ?

The corrent motor is a 230v ac 250w 2840 rpm.

i want to switch the motor i order to make it with adjustable speed and rewerse.

unfortunaly the £ isnt to many, so a cheap solution would be aprisiatet

Any suggestions ?

Hi Martin ! I have the hobbymat md65 Lathe and there is 250w 3-phase motor and Omron 3G3JV -series 0.4kW Variable Frequensy Driver.

Packet is Good and it is daily use in my "home-shop-machining" Little motor does NOT have power enought and it IS killing noise when Power is needed, when i try take bigger chip from Axle.

I recommedent You get 0.6kW or Bigger motor and 1—- 2.2kw VFD Whit that motor.

BTW!! I must get installed my Mill to Run. i do have 2.2Kw Siemens Micro master and old slicing machine motor what is 3-phase (propably i Think so)
