This reminds me of an old dear friend long since departed Albert North of the Chichester club and IWMES.
'Julian, all my end mills are getting blunt what should i do?'
'Buy some new ones' I replied.
Instead, Albert spent 2 years building the 'Quorn', then never used it.
Julian , what a shame to have spent the time making and then not to
have used it ,one can only hope that the new owner of the machine
appreciated the effort put in by your friend.
Norman, stick with it and get a copy of the D H Chaddock Quorn book as it
has the build and operational notes. My own machine has been operational
for nearly 30 years now and is used all of the time .
Eventually over time extra parts can be made ,one such is for grinding 4 facet
drills ,this took much inspiration from DAG Brown's methods and adapted
for the Quorn and was made about 15 years ago.
Seen here in the album Quorn and cnc cutter grinder a 4 facet number 62
drill, this is as much about eyesight and setting up as i can get to now.
