Hey folks…

Celebrating this evening! My sparky finally finished wiring up the garage today, so I fired up the lathe IMMEDIATELY!

Making a threaded bushing to match the horrible plastic horn, so as to fit a much nicer sounding copper one to my friends narrowboat.

Honestly never understood what happy crying was all about until today. It SO GOOD to be back on the tools!!!

All the more excited for the arrival of the mill now…

Good stuff. Looks like a venerable old machine you have there. Good to see it being fired up in anger. Many a fine tune played on an old fiddle!

It is indeed… 1941 Logan Powrkaft 10". I'm going to treat it to some modern furnishings for quality of life of course but it's a joy to use as is. I originally intended to give it some paint when I stripped it down, but when it came round, it just felt wrong somehow.
