Hi guys, I have reached the stage on my Emma Victoria build where I need to source some sheet for boiler cleading. Henry Wood suggests 26 swg brass but having difficulty in finding the right size from all my usual suppliers, these are not big enough but metal stockists talk about industrial size sheets measured in metres and at hundreds of pounds of course.

What do you guys use brass or steel and any pointers to suppliers.

Try M-machine, they will likely cut to size.

              Hi Bill try EKP

              **LINK**

26 Guage in that size is probably available in shim stock so it's worth searching for that instead of sheet.

              regards Martin

26swg brass will dent very easily, For my locos I’ve used stainless steel cut from a ‘pound shop’ bathroom pedal bin.

Careful – that EKP link appears to point elsewhere. It looks like they are now EKP Screws, **LINK** (?)

Not clear whether they are still selling retail.

Martins link works fine for me, takes me to their model engineering site. Adrian R2 link takes you to their new factory and turned parts site.

Curious – depending on browsers my usual computer either refuses to connect or gives me a security block, even through I have bought from EKP before. I have just tried another machine and that is fine. I shan't worry about trying to understand why, glad all is well.
