I'm putting a super heater in the fire box of my model P.M. boiler #2 I have added 4 extra fire tubes as well like a Stuart boiler but not sure if its okay to take the output of the super heater on the same level that its at ? Or should it be above say the water line ? being dry steam i don't see any issue except when it cold, Any thoughts or suggestions would be Greatly Appreciated..
I assume the horizontal boiler with the dome Alec. I am a little confused, are you planning on feeding the superheater with water or using an internal pipe from the steam space down to the bottom of the boiler?
Yes its for the super heated steam it comes out the steam dome then goes above the ceramic burner then I'm thinking of taking it out the side right there hence their is no room else were .
Sounds a bit like the way that Mamod ran the steam offtake from the top of the boiler and down under into the flame from the meths burner, en route to the oscillating cylinder..
