Hi all , my spare time is spent in the cave making and rebuilding a variety of tools , equipment and car stuff. I’ve moved on from my lathe project on to my ajax drill machine project. In doing so I thought it might be best if I just buy a decent mill as a few larger components that I plan to make would be difficult to produce with my existing tools.

I thought this would be a good place to learn about milling machines before I go and buy one.

      regards

      Stephen

Welcome along Steven. Where in the world are you (county/state?) Have you any idea what size of machine you desire ? This is usually dictated by budget and space. Type of work etc.
