Looks as if you'll be kept busy for a while with those. You'll find lots of help and advice here if you ask specific questions.

          Good luck

          Russell.

You will proberbly get some questions about the pedigree of the boilers if you are going to steam them. Ian S C

              Hi Yorkie,

You will probably get more responses if you use a more meaningful title to the thread. "Advice please" covers anything. "steam loco restoration" or similar is more specific and still brief. Put more detail in the sub-text to narrow it down further.

There is a lot of knowledge here, freely shared, once you tap into it.

2in gauge ("gauge2&quot is extremely rare. There are probably only a handful of people running it in the world as it was too close to "gauge 1" at 1&3/4 in gauge. It is more likely to actually be the latter.

There is a high probablilty that both are based on published designs so with better side on photos we can narrow down the possibilities and eventually find teh original designer and magazine articles.

                  Hi Yorkie,

The Princess Royal will almost certainly be the old H P Jackson/Clarkson design. I'm just finishing off rebuilding one for a friend and have copies of the drawings. Is yours the four cylinder version or just two? If you need any help just ask.
