David is correct, I did come on the forums to sell my Dads lathe after he passed away. It has gone to a good home where it is being used to make models and hopefully contribute something back to the model engineer community Dad loved so much

      Thanks

      Adam

I did suspect as much but I coudn't tell at the time of posting. Looks like my access priveliges are improving.

Sometimes you have to follow the leads as not all machines get sold.

        Take it easy.

Put the extras out for all to see and sell them with the late. Part of selling is giving a good deal and not screwing every penny from the deal. It would be far more attractive to a potential customer as it represents an instantaneous start. I would be reluctant to buy a bare lathe, but would be willing to pay more for a lathe complete with tooling, for a starter kit as it were. It’s nicer to deal with a generous person than a tight arse. Infact I’ve called off a deals because I wasn’t impressed with the fellow. And I’ve tipped luck money to a good soul as part of the action.
I agree with the general consensus sell all each for the most money and a time consuming hassle fair enough. All together makes a happy customer who has paid a bit more for the start accessories allow. A happy customer is better than cash alone
