More details needed.
Have you details of make and model number or a picture of red plate on the motor?
Can you confirm the green wire is the earth wire and connected to motor body?
Are you numbering the pins with number one at the top?
Do you have the other half of the plug and if so how is that wired to the mains and does it have the foot pedal?
Swapping wires around at random can be very dangerous.
To reverse this type of motor you reverse the connections to the field coils with respect to the armature connections ( the brushes).
You need to identify which wires connect to what inside the motor.
If your lucky, it may be that the red wires connect to the field coils and the black to the brushes or visa versa but that may not be the case and they are interconnected internally in the motor. Again I repeat it can be dangerous if you are not confident in what you are doing! At least check with a multimeter that it is safe.
