Hi,Ive got water coming into my oil box and had a look look at the one way valve and it seems the balls not sealing?

Whats the best way to re seat bearing (excuse the pun) its about 1/8" diameter.

Its off my 1" Minnie.

Another way to do this is to solder a new ball onto a small shaft and apply very fine grinding past or burnishing cream and lap it as you would a car valve then replace the old ball with a new one after cleaning out

If the seat's not in too bad nick, you could also try a nitrile ball – Polly sell them. I've had a lot of good results with them.

I'm tempted to try a nitrile ball in my water pump if only because it might help with the quality of my workmanship so far…

I've used that technique on hydraulic systems running up to 720bar. Now here's a thing. I wonder if such an arrangement would be more likely to leak with more pressure, or less pressure?! Anyone care to hazard a guess?
