Hi, Just wondering if anyone can help me, have recently bought above machine and can find no way of removing the chuck, it has a MT 3 shank but the problem is it also has a drawbar threaded in to it but no way of loosening the drawbar – anyone got and idea's – thanks Geoff

I am not familiar with that machine but have owned a couple mill-drills. What is needed is a wrench to hold the spindle while turning the drawbar. Initially I tried a box end wrench (ring spanner?) to hold the spindle but it marred the splines. Recently I purchased a wrench from Little Machine Shop that was designed to engage the splines of the spindle. I think it was about 30.

Thanks John, Have now solved the problem – removed 10mm nut from depth gauge which allowed quill to drop out completely to access allen bolt (drawbar) which held the MT in – thanks Geoff

I was curious so I looked it up on lathes.uk. It looks like a sturdy machine with an unusual way of holding tools. I did see that a manual was available for that machine.
