I am based in North London and my interest is building stationary engines. So far I have built a horizontal mill engine (all from stainless steel) which I started in 1979 and finished 2023 (when I retired from full time work), a Stirling engine in 2024 and this year’s project is a 20×48 beam engine.
I produce my own designs with some ideas borrowed and modified from existing plans.
My workshop is based around a CJ18 mini lathe with milling attachments.
