Hello,

I recently acquired a vintage Arrand mill bit holder, and need to make a drawbar for it. The inside diameter appears to be 3/8″ (?) but the thread is neither metric nor imperial. Does anyone know what the thread size is, as I an unable to get any of my thread gage leaves inside to check.

And if the inner diameter is 3/8″ how can it be a 3/8″ thread?

Stick a thin sausage of blu tack to a kebab skewer, poke into the hole and move sideways. Measure the blu tak when removed.
